My Story

Jodie Lane, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®

Since 2006, I have been helping clients in the greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin area in both investment management and financial planning. I am the founder of Greenstone Financial Services LLC and in the capacity of an independent wealth advisor, found a growing need to help clients going through divorce. Because of this, I sought out acquiring additional training and the specified credentials of a CDFA® or Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® and founded Pathway Divorce Solutions LLC.

Growing up in a single-mom household, I had firsthand experience of divorce on the child and family. And, because of this, vowed that I would never divorce. Then, feeling like a failure, I saw a marriage of 22 years come to an end. With three young children to support, the challenge of making that decision was monumental. But, knowing that my future happiness was depending on this extremely tough decision was what I knew I had to do.

Wanting to be sure that this had the least negative effect as possible for the children, I and my ex-husband went through mediation and found that we were able to come to a resolution that was good for us both. However, I didn’t have the support of a professional to guide me in the financial analysis of my marital situation and in hindsight, made some mistakes. Mistakes that impacted both parties.

As you work through these initial steps of gathering information of your assets, income and expenses that will be required to be reported I am here to here to help you. This can seem like an overwhelming task, but I am here to help guide you through it.

As your Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, my job is to show you how the decisions you make during the divorce process can affect you financially, not only today but 20 years from now.

As your Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® I will be working with your attorney on all financial matters in your case. If you are working with a mediator, I will provide the financial expertise and clarification that will be needed to come to a fair settlement.

I will be your financial expert working alongside the team you have chosen. I will create the financial documents your attorney needs. If needed I can also provide expert witness testimony in court regarding the financial matters in your case.
